A business graduate from Istanbul, Jaffar Hasnain studied Economics of the Financial Markets at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He started his journalism career with A News soon after its launch as a program host. He has covered major events such as Türkiye’s anti-terrorist operations, the 2nd Karabakh War, the plight of Rohingya refugees as well as the rise of Islamophobia and India-Pakistan tensions. Jaffar has hosted key leaders and guests from across the world, dissecting major political and humanitarian crises. He has interviewed a wide range of personalities, including Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan; Former White House Communications Director, Anthony Scaramucci; UN Special Rapporteur Agnes Callamard; Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia, Sefik Dzaferovic; Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi; Former Prime Minister and current President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ersin Tatar; and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders’ economic adviser Jeffrey Sachs, among many others.
